Ingredients

  • 6 bone-in center-cut pork chops, 1/2-inch thick
  • 3 (14.5-oz.) cans sauerkraut, drained
  • 4 small red apples, cored and finely chopped
  • 2 medium onions, finely chopped
  • 2 carrots, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. celery seed

  1. Coat a large skillet with nonstick cooking spray. Cook pork chops over medium-high heat until both sides are browned.
  2. In a very large bowl stir together sauerkraut, apples, onions, carrots, pepper and celery seed. Pour over chops in skillet.
  3. Add 1/4 cup water to skillet. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and cook 30 to 40 minutes. Transfer to a platter, and serve.
