- Heat oil in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onion; cook and stir until lightly browned. Let stand to cool.
- In a medium bowl beat together cooked onions, cream cheese and Worcestershire sauce with an electric mixer on medium speed until fluffy. Gradually beat in enough milk to make mixture spreadable or to reach desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours. Serve with assorted crackers or chips.
