Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 small green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 (14.5-oz.) cans diced tomatoes with onions, celery and green peppers, undrained
  • 2 (16-oz.) cans chili beans, undrained
  • 2 (10.75-oz.) cans reduced-sodium tomato soup
  • 1 (15-oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • Tortilla chips for serving

  1. In a large Dutch oven cook and stir beef, onion and bell pepper over medium-high heat until beef is browned and vegetables are tender. Drain fat.
  2. Stir in tomatoes, chili beans, soup, tomato sauce, chili powder and 2 2/3 cups water. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm with tortilla chips.
