Ingredients

  • 1 (15-oz.) pkg. refrigerated unbaked piecrusts (2 crusts)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 6 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced (about 6 cups)
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp. honey, divided
  • Turbinado sugar

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. On a lightly floured surface roll out 1 of the piecrusts. Press into a 9-inch pie plate. Set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl combine sugar and cinnamon. Add apple slices; toss to coat. Spoon mixture into prepared pie plate. Drizzle with butter and half of the honey. On a lightly floured surface roll out remaining piecrust. Carefully place over apple mixture. Seal and crimp edges; cut slits in top piecrust.
  3. Bake 45 minutes. Remove pie from oven; brush with remaining honey. Sprinkle with turbinado sugar. Bake 5 to 10 minutes more or until crust is golden and filling is bubbly. Cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
