- Prepare simple syrup by mixing a half cup sugar with a half cup of water and boiling over medium heat. Once sugar has dissolved, remove from heat and set aside.
- In a pitcher, combine the red wine, brandy, simple syrup and fruit. Mix well.
- Refrigerate until the drink is chilled and the flavors are blended, 4 to 8 hours. Serve the sangria in chilled, ice-filled wineglasses.
